Why Cambridge IGCSEs

  • Cambridge Assessment ​has been part of the University of Cambridge for 150 years. 
  • There are now more than 8 million candidates a year in 160 countries doing Cambridge Assessment examinations. 
  • Cambridge IGCSEs are accepted and valued by leading universities and employers around the world as evidence of academic achievement.
  • Syllabuses are international in outlook, but retain a local relevance. They have been created specifically for an international student body and avoid cultural bias.

Flexible Study for All Ages

  • Studying online allows a great deal of flexibility.  Latham Online offers IGCSE courses for adults as well as school-age students.
  • Adults can tailor the number of subjects they take to suit their personal needs and commitments.  You can work at any pace and take exams whenever you feel ready.  You decide on what your goals are, and the time you can commit to studying.

Your School-Age Children

In the UK, Tanzania and worldwide, students normally study 8 or more IGCSE subjects over two academic years.  
 
​They are advised to study a range of subjects that give them breadth, variety and balance.  They are also advised to take a selection of subjects that will keep open future options for further study and career choices.
 
In most schools there are compulsory subjects that all students are required to take.  These are:    
English Language - ​English Literature - Mathematics  
They are also advised to take at least:
  • a science subject (a single science Biology, Chemistry, Physics or double science)            
  • a humanities subject (Geography, History)
  • a foreign language (French, Spanish, German)​
