Cambridge IGCSE Spanish

Subject Information

Cambridge IGCSE Spanish  is designed for students who are learning Spanish as a foreign language.  The course develops a set of transferable skills for understanding and communicating in everyday situations.

Apart from Spain, of course, Spanish is spoken in most countries in Latin America.  It is also a valuable language to know in the USA as there are many areas where it is a lingua franca.

The linked language skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing are built on as learners progress through their studies.

Syllabus Content

The aims of the  Spanish as a foreign language course are to enable students to:
  • gain an insight into the culture and society in countries where Spanish is spoken;
